The electrical work on an inverter or solar installation is certified with a COC. Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Mogale City each have rules for registering small-scale embedded generation such as rooftop solar; we tell you what your municipality asks for.
What moves the price
A written quote, before anything starts.
The call-out starts from R450. Every house is different, so the work itself is quoted after seeing the problem, in writing, and nothing beyond making it safe starts until you approve. These are the things that decide that number.

- An inverter with batteries covers power cuts. Panels charge the batteries and cut the bill during the day. Many people start with the inverter and add panels later, so we size the inverter to take them.
- Can you fix a system someone else installed?
- Yes. We check it, tell you what is wrong, and quote to fix or upgrade it.
- Does solar need approval?
- In most municipalities, yes: grid-tied systems must be registered. We tell you what your municipality requires.
