Privacy notice

What we collect, and what we do with it.

Last updated 18 September 2026

Who we are

Arabella Infrastructure Solutions (“Arabella”, “we”) operates this website. We are the responsible party for the personal information collected through it, in the sense the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) gives that term.

Questions about this notice, or about your information, go to sales@arabellainfrastructure.com.

What we collect, and why

Partnership enquiries. When you use the Start a Partnership form we receive the company name, your name, your email address, and whatever else you choose to tell us about your business, including a phone number if you give one. This is used to answer the enquiry and, if it goes further, to run the relationship that follows. The form sends one email to our sales inbox; nothing is written to a database by the form itself.

The Arabella Brief. Subscribing gives us your email address, your name and company if you enter them, the audience you chose, and a hashed form of the address your request came from, which we keep to stop automated signups. The record is held as pending until you confirm through the link we send; the link stops working after 48 hours. Once confirmed the address is used to send the Brief and nothing else. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off the list.

Comments. Leaving a comment on an article stores the name and email address you enter alongside the comment. The name is shown with the comment; the email address is not published and is used only if we need to contact you about what you wrote.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies and records an IP-derived location and device information. We do not use it for advertising.

Where it is kept

The site runs on Vercel. Email is sent through Resend, and the Brief list and comments are stored in a Neon Postgres database. All three are outside South Africa, which POPIA permits where the recipient is bound to comparable protection; each of them is. Google Analytics data is held by Google under its own terms.

How long

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as the relationship they started, or for as long as we may need them to answer a later question about it. Brief subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Comments stay with the article unless you ask for them to be taken down.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to sales@arabellainfrastructure.com. We answer within a reasonable time and without charge. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Changes

This notice is updated whenever what the site does with personal information changes. The date at the top is the date of the last change.
