What the panel does
Aluminium windows, sliding and folding doors, shopfronts, balustrades and enclosures, fabricated to measure and installed on site. On a scheme the recurring job is a facade-wide replacement of failed steel or timber windows with aluminium, done unit by unit under one specification so the building keeps one face.
Glazing is specified to the regulation for the opening, and the panel's fabricators supply the compliance documentation with the installation.
The quote specifies the profile system, the finish and the glass for each opening, and states the performance class the product is made to. On a building-wide replacement the work is programmed floor by floor with the old units out and the new ones in on the same day, and the making-good to plaster and paint is inside the price.
Who commissions it
Bodies corporate replacing windows and balustrades across a building, commercial landlords for shopfronts and enclosures, and owners closing in a patio or balcony with the trustees' consent.
