The call-out starts from R450. Every house is different, so the work itself is quoted after seeing the problem, in writing, and nothing beyond making it safe starts until you approve. These are the things that decide that number.

- When should I fix the roof?
- Before the rains, ideally. On the Highveld the storm season runs roughly from October to March, and a small gap costs a ceiling by December.
- Is a roof leak covered by insurance?
- Sudden storm damage often is; wear and tear usually is not. We give you a report on what failed and why, which is what the insurer decides on.
- Does a new roof need plans?
- A repair does not. Changing the structure or the covering to something heavier is an alteration and needs approved plans.
