Solar
Panel arrays, inverters and battery installations built for the grid we actually have.

What the panel does
Grid-tied and hybrid PV systems, battery storage and the electrical work that makes them legal: the CoC, the municipal registration and the protection settings the utility requires. The panel sizes a system to the load profile it has measured, not to the roof area.
For a body corporate the question is who owns the system and who benefits from it, and the quote is structured around the answer: common-property supply for gates, lifts and lighting, or an embedded generator registered for the whole scheme.
Installations that were never registered or certified are the recurring rescue job, and Arabella quotes the regularisation as its own line so the client can see what compliance actually costs.
The proposal shows the measured load, the system sized against it, the expected yield by month and the payback on the tariff the client actually pays, with the registration and CoC as line items. A quote that leaves compliance out is cheaper, and the difference is what it costs to make it legal later.
Who commissions it
Estates and bodies corporate protecting common services through load shedding and cutting the account, commercial landlords, and owners with an installation an insurer or municipality has queried.
Registers that apply to solar
What to ask any contractor for before you award, on the panel or off it. Every one of these is checked before a panel contractor quotes.
Electrical CoC from a registered person
A PV installation is electrical installation work; the PV GreenCard is a training credential, not a registration, and does not replace the CoC.
Municipal SSEG registration
City Power, Eskom and the other distributors require small-scale embedded generation to be registered, with the inverter on the approved list.
NRS 097-2-1
The grid-interconnection specification an inverter must meet to be connected.
